An Art Camp mom sent me this photo earlier today. One of my Campers took what she learned from my wing tutorial this past week and put that knowledge to work this morning to make wings for her dog.
This is why I do this.
When a kid gets inspired enough to take skills I taught them and run with it without me? That's what it's all about. The wing project was not easy, by any means. To convince a kid that they can do hard stuff, they can be resourceful, and they can innovate outside of supervision is the only thing that matters to me, in the end.
